| Home of Getty's antiquities collections - Greek, Roman and Etrurian |

| And set in a re-created Roman country home modeled after the Villa dei Papiri near Herculaneum (the possible home of Julius Caesar's father-in-law). |

| Getty wanted his visitors to feel the experience of a home and its art objects as they would have been experienced in ancient times. Getty spent his final 25 years in England and never saw his vision come to fruition. |
